Learn About Us

Worldwide non-profit charity organization

At Aesop's Legacy Animal Rescue, Our mission is to save the lives of Los Angeles’ most vulnerable dogs and cats by rescuing animals from the streets, pulling those at risk of euthanasia, and intervening in cases of abuse and neglect. We provide medical care, compassionate rehabilitation, and dedicated placement into safe, loving forever homes. We champion the protection of all animals by advocating for stronger enforcement of animal-cruelty laws and standing up for those who have no voice. Rooted in a lifelong love for animals, we believe every innocent life deserves safety, dignity, and a chance to thrive.
Our mission is to rescue, heal, and protect Los Angeles’ most vulnerable dogs and cats, giving the abused, neglected, abandoned, and at-risk a safe path to a loving forever home.

Help Dextor

Dextor is a good dog who just needs a little extra guidance. He struggles with reactivity, and with the right training, structure, and support, he has so much potential to thrive. Training is the bridge between where he is now and the life he deserves. We are raising funds to get Dextor the professional training he needs so he can confidently move into a forever home and succeed long-term. Dextor deserves the chance to learn, grow, and be someone’s forever dog.

Help Lobo

Lobo was supposed to die. We couldn’t let that happen. He was terrified, shut down, and running out of time. We pulled him from the shelter on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. Now he’s safe—but safety isn’t enough yet. Lobo needs urgent professional training to heal from fear and trauma so he doesn’t lose this second chance. We started a GoFundMe to give him the time and help he deserves.

Aunt Viv & Uncle Viv

The best news for my favorite couple. Aunt Viv and Uncle Phil are officially ADOPTED — together, forever. After everything they’ve been through, they now have the most incredible new parents and acres of land to run, relax, and live the life they always deserved.

Opal ➝ Nola

At just 9 weeks old, she was scheduled to be euthanized at San Bernadino Shelter because she had a cloudy eye and was lethargic. But hours after she left the shelter and saw the vet… everything changed. The little puppy who looked so sick and shut down suddenly came to life. Sound up for those puppy barks and look at her, trying to bury her toy. Today, Opal — now Nola — has found her forever home.
